Yare was born not just from a passion for spice but from a deep reverence for culture and tradition. Founders Alfredo and Jan met in the vibrant city of Barcelona and were later reunited in Zurich. However, the seeds for Yare were sown long before, rooted in a spectacular tradition from Alfredo's homeland - The Dancing Devils of Yare.

This annual celebration held in San Francisco de Yare, Venezuela, is not just a festival: it's a profound cultural phenomenon that represents the victory of good over evil, a theme that deeply resonated with both Alfredo and Jan. The Diablos Danzantes, clad in their vivid, fearsome masks and multicolored costumes, dance in defiance of the ordinary, paying homage to the spiritual and the mystical. It was this blend of fearlessness and reverence that Alfredo and Jan sought to encapsulate in their brand.

The name "Yare" itself is a homage to this tradition, reflecting the founders' commitment to bring something both bold and transformative to the Swiss market.
